SMSL released their latest mid-fi level desktop DAC, the SMSL M200. It is a desktop DAC series from the “M” series by the brand. The M series currently has three models in the market, M100 entry-level DAC, M300 MKII as mid-level, and M500 as the top of the line Desktop DAC from the series. SMSL M200 comes to fill the gap between the M100 and the M300 MKII. It features a high-performance AKM DAC chip AK4497EQ that is usually found in mid to high-level DAC’s and DAPs. The M200 is capable of decoding PCM up to 32-Bit/768kHz, or DSD up to DSD512 natively. It features Bluetooth V5.0 wireless connectivity with Hi-res codecs support like UAT, LDAC, AptX HD, and many more. The device has a fully balanced XLR output port, it is loaded with features like OLED display, multiple inbuilt filters, fully functional remote control, and more.
